Have we totally lost subtlety??

OK, the Right Wing pundits (I try not to use more accurate words) have come up with a new euphemism. Instead of "WEEEEEEEEEEEL.....we got nuttin'" when pressed to come up with some reason why they shouldn't just take up sniping positions on the outskirts of political discourse and wait for another eight years, they can now lead off with "Michelle Obama hates America" and vamp at great length until the get some new fantasy from wherever they get their stuff these days.

So we all get it thatthere are people who don't want to admit that their biggest problems with Senator Obama are: (a) he's smart, (b) he's not on the take, (c) he's black, (d) he's partly black, (e) he doesn't appeal to people who are uncomfortable with somebody who looks like him in the White House......and have you noticed how he doesn't really look like he's part white? We also get it that they have to find something less uncomfortable.

But when Senator Obama says he believes that Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain should not be subject to personal attacks, how can they be dumb enough to realize that they should be hearing "you won't like me if I get mad." Do they think we have all forgotten how easily the Bush campaign turned her from Elitist Ice Princess to Scary Evil Witch Druggie Thief? It was only in 2000, for crying in church!

But no, the Loonies of the Right are going to keep it up until they come up with a set of positions so blatantly absurd that the other Loonies notice it. Then things should get interesting.
